Extract from Wikipedia article: Amanita jacksonii is a species of fungus in the Amanitaceae family. It is a reddish-orange colored mushroom species extending from the Province of Quebec, Canada to at least the State of Hidalgo, Mexico. It was given its current name in 1984 by Canadian mycologist René Pomerleau. It can be identified by its yellow gills, large, white, sacklike volva, and bright orange or orange red cap, which has lined margins.
Amanita jacksonii is a species of mushroom that belongs to the genus Amanita. It has a cap that ranges from 3-6 cm in diameter, initially convex and becoming flat with age, with a brown to reddish-brown color and scattered warts or patches. The gills are free, crowded, and white. The stem is 4-7 cm long and 0.5-1.5 cm thick, with a bulbous base.
