Amanita polypyramis is a species of mushroom that belongs to the genus Amanita. The gills are free, crowded, and white. The stem is 4-10 cm long, 0.5-1.5 cm thick, and has a bulbous base. In East and Central Texas, Amanita polypyramis has been found growing in association with various tree species, including oak and pine, in a variety of habitats, including wooded areas and along roadsides. Fruitings typically occur from spring to fall, with a peak in late summer.
