Xylodon flaviporus is a species of tooth fungus that grows on deciduous trees, particularly oak and elm. In East and Central Texas, it has been found to fruit in the spring and fall, producing small, yellowish-brown to orange-brown teeth-like spines on the underside of brackets or resupinate growths. The fungus is relatively rare in the region, but can be locally common in areas with suitable host trees and high humidity. It tends to occur on dead or dying branches and trunks, often in shaded, moist environments such as woodland edges and stream banks.
